Process
I like to paint quickly without any underdrawing. I make fast marks as I visually scan the image. I have included some process pictures below:

I got frustrated as I painted this one. I felt that it got worse and worse as I kept painting. It was so frustrating having the underpainting distracting me from the shapes and colours I was trying to place on top.
This is metaphorical of this feeling of nostalgia. The fact that I am in England sometimes makes it hard to imagine ever being or living in Iran. This is the metaphoric value of my practice - as Tala Madani allows the paint to be pant - I am painting from a distance as I try to race time.
