Since the beginning of this course, I have been working in collaboration with a MA Sculpture student named Lauren Mcnicoll. Lauren reached out to me after the 1 minute presentations introducing our work to the whole of the MA Fine Art pathway. We both spoke about our interest in memory, hers being more towards the collective and mine being more personal. I really liked the aesthetics of her work and felt like we could work well together. She was drawn to the sketches of my cousins house that I had produced for my portfolio work. We both have a background in architecture and it has aided us in understanding each others processes. The sculpture Lauren created is from a combination of the paintings and sketches above.
